Custom pet bud vase
- Allow 6-8 weeks
- I start with your pet’s photos which I print out and hang in the studio for about a week prior to starting so I can get familiar with them.
Then I take a blob of porcelain clay and .start sculpting. Once I get a result I’m happy with I cover the sculpture in plastic allowing it to dry completely and slowly for approximately 2 weeks. Then I bisque fire, this takes 12 hours to reach temperature and another 12 to cool down. Next comes painting with underglaze then a fire of cone 6 (2200 degrees f ) this takes 7 hours and depending on pattern and color of fur it may require more than one firing. Phew now I can ship your fur baby to you!
